Invoices & receipts

Find, download and open your Kawaa invoices and receipts, see what each one contains, and update your billing details.

Viewing invoices

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Open the Invoices tab
  3. Use the download button for a PDF, or the open button to view an invoice online
  4. Choose "View all in portal" for your full billing history

Invoice contents

Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice number, date of issue and due date
  • Your billing name, address and email
  • A line for each charge: the plan name, the period it covers, quantity, unit price and amount
  • Subtotal, total and amount due

Kawaa plans and credit packs are sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company. An invoice for a purchase made through Link is issued by Link: it says "Sold through Link, LLC", gives Link's address and tax registration number, and shows the tax charged on each line and in total. In the few countries where Link does not handle the tax, the invoice is issued under the Kawaa name instead.

If you gave a VAT or tax ID at checkout, Link's invoice shows it under your billing details.

After you change your account email, we update the email on your invoices the next time you open the billing portal or a checkout page, or, for a subscription bought through Link, when you move it to a higher plan or it next renews, unless you set a different billing email in the billing portal. If the update does not go through, a later visit tries again. If your invoices still show an old address, change it in the billing portal. Invoices issued before the update keep the email they were issued with. While Kawaa is billing your account, confirming an email change waits, because the receipt goes to the email the bill was made with: for up to about three days after you open a checkout page (while Stripe can still tell us how it ended), for about two hours after a renewal invoice is drafted, for a few minutes after you move to a higher plan, until a payment you made at checkout has been processed (a Pix transfer, for example), and until shortly after the next retry of a renewal payment that failed. Messages about a bill already issued, such as a receipt for paying it later or a refund, go to the email it was issued to.

Automatic receipts

You get a receipt by email after every payment: each subscription payment, including the prorated charge when you change plans, and each credit pack you buy. For a purchase made through Link, the receipt and the invoice come from Link, with PDF copies attached, and Kawaa does not send a second one. A subscription billed by Kawaa gets its receipt from Kawaa.

Credit packs bought from October 14, 2026 also come with an invoice, listed on the Invoices tab, where you can download it. Packs bought before then have no invoice and are not listed there. For those, the receipt email shows the amount paid, the credits added, the date and time (UTC) and the Stripe payment reference, so keep it as your proof of purchase.

Changing the card you pay with

The card your subscription renews on is the one you chose for it at checkout. To change it, open Settings → Billing, choose "Manage billing", and change the payment method shown under your current subscription. For a subscription bought through Link, the Payment methods tab cannot change that card, so use the billing portal, and it cannot remove that card until you have chosen another one there.

Your statement shows a payment made through Link as LINK.COM* KAWAA.

Updating billing information

To change the name and address on your subscription's renewal invoices:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing and open the Payment methods tab
  2. Under Billing address, choose "Edit address" (or "Add address")
  3. Update your name and address
  4. Your next renewal invoice uses them. Invoices already issued keep the details they were issued with.

Each checkout, for a new plan or a credit pack, asks for your billing details again. The invoice for that purchase shows what you enter at checkout, and what you enter can replace the name and address saved in Settings → Billing, so check them there after you buy.

The Company field in Settings → Billing is kept on your account for reference and is not printed on invoices or receipts.

To show a VAT or tax ID on your invoices, tick "I'm purchasing as a business" on the checkout page and enter your business name and VAT or tax ID there. Link prints them on that invoice, and the ID on later ones too. Checkout offers this in many countries but not all, for example not in the United States. Once a VAT or tax ID is saved, checkout does not ask for it again. To add or change one after you have bought, email support@kawaa.com.
